El tráfico portuario en el territorio español aumentó en noviembre de 2015, comparado con el tráfico correspondiente al mismo periodo del año anterior, según los datos de Puertos del Estado. También suben los contenedores import-export, pero baja el tráfico interior, con una caída de casi el 60%.
La mejora también es palpable si se tiene en cuenta todo el periodo de enero a noviembre de 2014 y 2015, con un aumento del 0,18%. Los puertos que más tráfico registraron fueron el de Algeciras y el de Valencia, con un crecimiento del 7,74% y el 5,93% respectivamente comparado con el año anterior. Les sigue el puerto de Barcelona, con cifras muy parecidas a las del año anterior.
Los aumentos han venido propiciados por los graneles, registrando los graneles líquidos los mejores números, habiendo subido un 5,95% en el mes de noviembre.
Una de las razones de la buena salud del tráfico portuario en nuestro país es la buena posición geoestratégica de los puertos. De hecho, 1 de cada 4 toneladas que pasan por alguno de ellos, tiene como destino final algún otro país. Por lo que respecta a la intermodalidad, parece que el barco sigue siendo el mejor aliado para el transporte a larga distancia, tanto por carretera como por ferrocarril.
En total, los puertos españoles movieron 13.199.880 toneladas en contenedores en noviembre, y aunque los datos de final de año aún no están disponibles, se augura un máximo histórico anual en 2015, rondando los 500 millones de toneladas manipulados en el territorio español.

There is also an increase on the import-export containers while the internal traffic suffered a decrease of almost 60%.
This improvement really stands out when we take a look at the results from January to November 2014 and 2015, which reflect a 0,18% increase. The most active harbours in Spain where the Algeciras and Valencia harbours, which grow 7,74% and 5,93% respectively when comparing them to the results from the year before. Right after them follows Barcelona harbour, with almost the same numbers as last year.
The best results of all were reached by the bulks, specially the liquid bulks, achieving a 5,05% rise on November.
One of the main reasons for these great results of our harbours is the strategic geographic position they all have. In fact, one out of every 4 commodity tons that go through them have another country as a final destination. With respect to the way of transport, it looks like the ship keeps being the best ally for long distance transportation.
Spanish harbours moved up to 13.199.880 tons in containers throughout November, and even though last year’s data is not yet available it is expected to reach a new year historic results for 2015 with numbers that can even go up to 500 million tons travelling through Spanish territory.
